This is just a rough concept for a portfolio peace. I never finished it, and it looks like this for many many months.

One day, this image will save me from art block.

Robyn character development

A lil GUTG special entry, since I found it pity that all the concepts rot in my folder.
To clarify, Give up the ghost is a collaboration, which means, Bek writes, I draw.
So far, collaboration is going great, relaxing and above all fun. It feels good to know that I can work on a script that requires more than 5 pages of comic, but honestly, I won't do long projects anytime soon. Next colab will be maximally 5 pages long comic, tops 10 pages so I can focus more on quality of paneling, artwork and pacing.

Beck's livingroom concept

 Robyn is quite fun woman to draw, and her outfit came a long way. First idea of her outfit was very nice looking, but it would have been hard to draw. I could have easily mix up sides and that would affect consistency greatly. But I will make an illustration with her original outfit for a wallpaper :B

Unrecognizable.

This now looks like completly different image, but after fixing her chin, eyes, ears (partially), giving her a nose and lip job, it's no wonder. lol

I still have to work out her hair and leafs. At first I wanted to add glass jewlery, but maybe some other time. This time it's more organic feel, which fits nicely with all the greens.I am not quite sure if I will add some garment and hands. Probably not.

Also, the stella illustration is being reworked, but it is so fun to have documented the progress and ideas that go trough ones head while developing an idea.

Boring Sunday afternoon

Soo, I am enjoying one lazy, cold and rainy Sunday best I can. The image will be put up for critique in GO forums so I can fix stuff before I go to garments and accessories.


I am still planing to add some India inspired jewelry, will upload the images later, just to have them here as a reference sheet.

The Star

La Stella

I have been dealing with horrible artblock lately, I can't even draw a face and be satisfied, and it shows on the webcomic. Thus, I have started to work on Tarot themed illustrations. But this is not 0 - the fool, but The Star. I was planing to make it blue-ish purple background that blends in the trees, and water and the girl shimmer. I have been practicing coloring a bit and hope the light shimmer won't be too tacky in end product. Plus, I have to redo her feet. too long and too big
And I promise, this card is only one that will contain long, curly haired girl.
