New techniques

 

The more I think about what we learn on community art classes, the better I know how to use it for acheaving better aesthetics. That does not mean I will use absolute beautiful formla for face. I still love the people to have some character. 

Do not ask why I like to draw hybrid girls. It seemed like good idea at the time. And I can allow myself to draw nonsensical, not deep thought out and not allegorical stuff. Keeps me up when I have lots of stuff to draw for others.

Portraits

So we started to do portraits this week in art class and we got to draw the person on oposing side of table. My model moved her head all the time so I could not get angle of eyes aligne well with siluette. QQ
To make things funnier, when I would be the model, the same lady would complain every time I moved a head (not in completely different direction like her, just moving as I was breathing). If she continues like this, the portrait will look as if I was studying Picasso.

 

I have my right hand hurt. Twice this week. Fun.

But that ain't stopping me.

Coloring

 

First colored in in grayscale, then added the color. Some contrast got lost, but that will be taken care of.

I wanna try the grayscale way of coloring. Honestly, it is easier to determine values, and practice values, no fright of doing something too light.

I should tender up the linework. I love sharp ink feel, but it simply looks out of character.
